MLMillerWrites is a place where all of my writing can occupy the same space. Here you will find news about my various comic books projects (including PIROUETTE, GRAVETRANCERS, THE JUNGLE BOOK and keep your eyes open more more to come!) and most recently scripts (including The Asylum’s SHARK WATERS and coming soon, EARTHQUAKE UNDERGROUND)! It’s also the new home for new horror reviews and my annual Best in Horror Countdown that occurs throughout the month of October every year!
From 2001 to 2016, I contributed movie reviews focusing on the wide world of horror for Ain’t It Cool News under the moniker Ambush Bug. This site will serve as an archive for those reviews and a one stop shop for the thousands of reviews I’ve tapped out on a keyboard over the years. I’ll be updating with new reviews on a consistent basis and hopefully, one of these days, MLMillerWrites will house them all.
I have also written my fair share of comics over the last decade and will utilize MLMillerWrites as a place to go to get updates on the many comic book and film projects I’ve produced. I’ll be posting scripts, out of print material, my thoughts on writing and my own writing process, as well as news about new projects coming soon.
Welcome and I hope you find something of interest to read and possibly even something you might find inspirational or educational. Out of all of these words I’ve written through the years, hopefully you’ll find some of them worthy of your time.

Hey, been a visitor of your site since day one. I was wondering if you’ve ever reviewed Fear, Inc? When I search for it it doesn’t come up but there’s not many quality horror films of the last few years that you’ve not reviewed!

pirouette is spectacular. I’ve ordered the collection from the publisher. Is there a reason the dagger throwing tattooed little person is named “Cap August”? Can’t help but be curious

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Cap August was an obscure reference to August “Cap” Coleman who was known as the Godfather of American Tattooing. Just a name I kind of liked when I was doing research for Pirouette. Some of the names are just ones I liked. Others like Half John are more obvious references to Johnny Eck. But thanks so much for reading it. I’m working on two projects involving Pirouette at the moment, so hopefully there will be more in the very near future.
