It’s October, so let’s talk horror movies. All through this month, I’ll be posting reviews of films in the horror genre that I feel were the best I’ve seen since October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022. As an added bonus, I’ll be adding a secondary review that may be somewhat related to the main review or slightly missed the countdown by inches. Either way, it’s a double dose of great horror to be on the lookout for. As always, these are simply my opinions listed in order to my own personal tastes and mad take on good horror cinema, not box office or critic ratings. Follow along the countdown every day in October. Feel free to agree, disagree, or better yet, give me your own picks for your favorite horror movies of the year. Happy Halloween!

Just watched this and wanted to finally comment.
You have been doing this for years and I’ve followed you from AICN to here because I love your take on contemporary horror. I’m going to try and comment on more of what you write since I have been a passive reader for so long.
My first comment is that it is really helpful that you provide links or streaming info for all of your reviews. It helps on my search for films you recommend and has helped when I try to sell my wife on watching something new.
