Just saw this. The movie was ultimately kind of meh, but you’re right that Granaderos and Mattfeld were both really good. Hope to see more of them in the future.
One question I had is about the ending. ***SPOILER*** I’m assuming that based on the non-skipping record and Margo’s weirdly placid demeanor, Adam died from the gunshot. If the ideal life he wanted in the Hills is now supposed to be his eternal torment, it didn’t seem bad at all. Everything seemed pretty normal and happy.

I liked the vague ending. I know it doesn’t make a lot of sense, but I think you nailed the metaphorical meaning pretty well.
