Glad this was low on the list. Love Cage- but this was a swing and miss. Yeah- he doesn’t utter a single line, but it doesn’t help the film! It becomes Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Yeah, it was way too repetitive. I went in hoping Cage would go for the trifecta after Mandy and Color out of Space. But it just didn’t meet those expectations. Still, I liked his performance and admire him trying something different. I honestly would love to see another movie with the character with him facing something else.

I hated Willys Wonderland. It was so tame and didn’t cross that line of insanity. The director thought making a movie where nick cage fights demon possessed mascots and then goes and pounds a soda and plays pinball would be “quirky” enough to gain some attention. What he did was prove he doesn’t know how to use Cage’s intense style like Mandy successfully did.
Willys should have been a balls to the wall film full of chaos and extreme violence and gore. One is because the story is stupid. So you need to match the stupid level with a great level of insanity.
